- Revamp First-Year Orientation
- We hope to work with the Title IX Office, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, and the Office of First Year Experience to revamp First-Year and New-Student Orientation to be more comprehensive and proactive, particularly regarding sexual and relationship harassment and violence. We want to update these events and information to be more engaging, inclusive, and effective.
- Healthy Dining
- We hope to ensure that Pitt provides its students with reasonably-priced healthy options and fresh produce at on-campus dining and take out facilities like Market To Go and Quick Zone. And even as Oakland moves towards receiving its much-needed grocery store, we will explore the possibility of partnering with a local grocery store or organization to create a delivery program for students, providing students with fresh produce and food that meets any dietary restrictions all at a reasonable price.
- Lower Campus Exercise Facilities
- We would like to expand the capabilities of the lower campus exercise facilities so that students don't necessarily have to trek up to the Pete or Trees to access proper workout equipment.
- Mental Health Support for STEM Students
- Studying in the STEM fields comes with a high level of rigor and we firmly believe that students in these fields deserve the same level of attention in regards to their mental health as many students in other departments receive. We hope to work across academic departments to decrease the stigma and improve mental health support and resources for students in the STEM fields.
